Friedell District-Wide

Middle school

Kelly Stroeing

Welcome to Friedell Middle School!  I am excited to work with you and your child this year!  This is my 11th year teaching, and first year at Friedell.  I started at Kellogg Middle School teaching 6th grade for 1 year, then John Adams Middle School teaching 6th grade for 5 years, and most recently Gibbs Elementary teaching 5th grade for 4 years.  I am excited to join the Friedell team!

This is an exciting year students have been waiting for! They are now middle schoolers!  Students are coming from MANY elementary schools, so this gives students a great opportunity to make new friends and start fresh! This year we are working on our four core expectations "Be Respectful -- Be Responsible -- Be Safe --- Be a Productive Learner" in all areas of Friedell Middle School.

Throughout the year, we will work as a team to help students take on more responsibility for their learning. Students are working each day to fill out their planner, keep their binders and lockers organized, and carefully pack their backpacks.  Students can also take responsibility by participating in class discussions, working with others, and asking questions. I will be using Google Classroom to update class happenings.

We will be working on a variety of exciting units throughout the year! It is important for students to be here everyday when possible. During the year we will explore topics through a variety of readings, writings, activities, and projects.

Let's make it a great year!!! I believe it takes a three way partnership between teachers, students, and parents/guardians to create a successful year!  Thank you in advance for your support and involvement!!! Please feel free to contact me at any time with questions or concerns.
